Jesus Christ Said My Hour Has Not Yet Come

My Hour

Miracle

John 2:1-4

John 2:1-4 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.

3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

4 Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

Lord Jesus Christ is great God. He is almighty and does miracles in His time. In the hour of miracle He will do. He will not act according to your request. He knows when to do a miracle. He will wait for the perfect time to do a miracle and get glory.

He is God who always acts in perfect time. His works are all done in His perfect time. In the above verse we see the mother of Jesus came to Him and said there is no wine in the wedding. She insists Him to help. But Jesus said My hour has not yet come. Mary went away knowing that Jesus will do a miracle in His hour.

As He told, He did a miracle of turning water into wine in His hour of time. Everybody was astonished in the wedding and Jesus was glorified. All His disciples saw the miracle and believed in Him. He will operate in His own timing. He will do on His own initiative than to pressure.

My Hour – Sacrifice

Hebrews 9:26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

John 12:23 But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.

Mark 14:41 Then He came the third time and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough! The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to save the sinners. He came into the world at the appointed time. He came at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself on the cross. He shed His precious blood on the cross and died and rose again third day victoriously.

He said the hour has come, behold the son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners and being crucified. He came at the hour appointed by God to prepare salvation on the cross by paying penalty on the cross for all sin of the world. Repent and turn from sin to receive the prepared salvation. Jesus died on the cross at the appointed hour.

My Hour – Visitation

Luke 19:44 And level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”

1 Peter 2:12 having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Lord Jesus Christ visit His people to show mercy and save them. If you recognize the hour of His visitation and accept Him you will see great change in your life. He will visit to bring salvation and breakthrough in your life. You must be spiritually alert to know and recognize His visitation.

God visited Sarah to fulfill the promise of Isaac. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they did not recognize the hour of visitation. They rejected Him and they were destroyed. The visitation come to bring judgement on nations for their wickedness. Have a good conduct among the gentiles that they see your good works and glorify God in the day of visitation.

At the appointed hour He will visit to show mercy and to judge and to save. Be vigilant at the hour of His visitation and receive the blessings of God. Always trust Him and He will bless you. He will visit you in His hour to fulfill His promise.

Come to Lord Jesus Christ and surrender your life to Him. Do not neglect the hour of His visitation. Accept Him as your savior. He will save you from all sin and destruction and give you eternal salvation and peace and joy. He will come to you and rescue you in all your trials and temptations. He will be your heavenly father and guide you in all your life and lead you into eternal glory.

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

What strikes me about Cana is that Mary did not tell Jesus how to solve the problem. She simply brought the need to Him and then told the servants, “Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” (John 2:5). I am fairly good at bringing God my problems. It is the next part where I sometimes get creative. I can arrive with the problem, the preferred solution, a suggested timetable, and probably a backup plan in case heaven needs one. But Mary left the need with Jesus, while the servants obeyed what He placed before them—even though filling waterpots must have seemed completely unrelated to an empty wine supply. Perhaps waiting for God’s “hour” is not always passive waiting. Sometimes there are waterpots to fill while we wait. We may not understand what today’s obedience has to do with tomorrow’s answer, but that connection belongs to God. I want the kind of faith that can leave the timing with Him and still fill the waterpots.
