Resurrection Power Carried Into Heaven

Carried Into Heaven

Luke 24:50-53

50And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them.

51Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.

52And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

53 and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen.

Jesus Christ, after resurrection from the dead, appeared to the disciples many times. He talked to them and showed many proofs of His resurrection. He is alive. After that Jesus led the disciples as far as Bethany and lifted up His hands and blessed them.

Jesus Christ blessed the disciples before ascension. He laid His hands on each one of the disciples and blessed them abundantly. The blessings of Jesus Christ is great. It multiplies and be great. With that blessings the disciples reached the world to preach the gospel and spread good news. Many souls were saved and the church was formed.

He is the God of multiplication. He blesses and multiplies. It will increase all the time. The blessings of God brings peace and confidence and courage. The disciples were strengthened and determined to do God’s work sincerely. They were filled with joy and peace. The joy world can’t give.

After blessing the disciples Jesus Christ parted from them and carried up into heaven. And seeing Jesus ascending all the disciples worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

What a great blessing and experience it was for the disciples. Then the disciples began to spread the gospel. Signs and wonders followed them. Many miracles happened during their ministry. God confirmed the word with signs and miracles. God was with them in their entire journey doing ministry.

Acts 11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.

The hand of God was with them and strengthened them and guided them and did many miracles and preached gospel. A great number of them believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. As a result, many souls were added to the church.

It is the God’s favor on the disciples work and leading many to Jesus Christ. The hand of God empowered the disciples. They received divine power and strength to do the work of God. The disciples went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them by signs and wonders.

It is the blessings of Jesus Christ that empower the disciples. Many wonders were done through them. Many souls were saved, and the Church began.

Jesus Christ is the God of blessing. He wants to bless His children abundantly and lead them and guide them and use them for His glory.

What a great blessing it is in Christ Jesus. Come to Jesus Christ receive His blessings and see great miracle wonders done through you and bring glory to God.

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

I find it interesting that he last thing the disciples saw before Jesus ascended was His hands raised in blessing. These were the same disciples who had misunderstood Him, doubted Him, and in some cases fled from Him. Yet His final act toward them was one of love and blessing.

There is something very comforting about that. Jesus could have left them with a rebuke, but instead He left them with an assurance of His care. It reminds me that even when God is preparing us for service, His desire is first to draw us closer to Himself. The disciples would soon face trials, opposition, and hardship, but they carried with them the memory of a Savior whose last visible act was to bless them.

  2. The Lord does not change. He still does his work through his disciples, we need only walk with him and allow him to work through us.
