Resurrection Power Come And Eat

Come

John 21:12-14

12Jesus said to them, “Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?” knowing that it was the Lord.

13Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.

14This is now the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.

Jesus Christ after resurrection showed Himself to His disciples. This is the third time He appeared to His disciples and did mighty miracles before them. Also He provided food to eat. He invited them to eat breakfast. What a great Love and compassion He had towards His disciples. He always thinks of the needs of His children and provides them.

They did not ask Him to give, but Jesus Himself knowing their need provided the food to eat supernaturally. What a great God He is. Never to worry about any lack in our lives. He provides all our needs and satisfies us. But trust in Him and do according to His word. Follow His commandments. Walk worthy of His calling and lead a holy life pleasing unto Him.

Glorify Him in all things. Whatever you do give glory to God.

In above verse we see Jesus Christ invites His disciples to come and eat breakfast. It is an invitation Jesus Christ to come and have fellowship with Him. Then when the disciples came Jesus took the bread and gave it to them and likewise the fish. It was a great love towards His children. Just like mother gives food to her children. It is a great care of Jesus towards His disciples.

Jesus invites all to come and be blessed.

Matthew 11:28-30 28Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.

29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus Christ extends an open invitation to all. He invites everyone to partake of His goodness. Through Him, one can find rest and salvation. Jesus welcomes all those who are weary and heavy laden to find rest. It also emphasizes the blessings and gifts given by Him and that include forgiveness of sins and healing and anointing.

He offers peace to those who are burdened and weary and promising total rest and peace. What a great blessing it is in Jesus Christ.

Whatever burdens you facing now and feeling unrest and no peace come to Jesus Christ and follow Him.

John 7:37-38 37On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

38He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

In the above verse, we see Jesus Christ inviting all who are thirsty. He invites them to come and drink the water that He gives. He will quench the thirst of those who are thirsty. He will give the Holy Spirit to those who come to Him. This will quench their spiritual thirst and satisfy them.

It is only Jesus Christ who can quench thirst of your soul. He is true and living God. He is the source of living water gives spiritual growth and satisfaction. It is the Holy Spirit that empowers His disciples and brings forth spiritual fruit.

Come to Jesus and accept His invitation and be blessed.

Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:

What has always touched me about this passage is that Jesus didn’t begin with a rebuke. The disciples had recently failed Him, scattered in fear, and Peter had denied Him three times. Yet when Jesus met them on the shore, He first invited them to breakfast.

There would be a time for instruction and restoration, but before any of that, He fed them.

I think that says something beautiful about the character of God. So often we expect Him to begin with our failures, while He begins with relationship. The disciples came to the shore carrying guilt, confusion, and unanswered questions, and Jesus welcomed them to a meal.

It reminds me that God’s desire is not merely to correct us, but to draw us near.
