Follow Jesus

Matthews 4:18-20

Fishers of men

18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.”

20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

Lord Jesus Christ walking by the Sea of Galilee and saw two persons Simon and Andrew and they were fishermen and doing their job. They cast net and catch the fish. Jesus Christ saw them and chosen them to be His disciples with eternal plan. He called them and said Peter and Andrew follow me and from now I will make you fishers of men.

Your life will be transformed and will win souls for me. You will work for the extension of Kingdom of God. You will be my servants and do my will. Great transformation will take place in them. They were transformed and received the power of God and became fishers of men.

It is the invitation from Jesus Christ that Peter and Andrews responded immediately without hesitation. They totally surrendered to the call of Jesus Christ and followed Him all their life and glorified Jesus Christ.

In this we see the :

• Invitation of Jesus Christ.
• Immediate response and submission to Jesus Christ by them.

Jesus Christ always expects immediate submission to His call. He need you to surrender to Him and follow Him and trusts in Him. They trusted Jesus Christ and followed Him. They received the blessings of God and became a blessing to many.

Follow Jesus – Revelation

John 1:49-51 49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

51 And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

Lord Jesus Christ said to Phillip His disciple you will see greater things than these. You will have greater revelations and heavenly encounters. You will see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon Son of Man. Jesus Christ said you follow Me and you will be blessed by greater revelations and greater wisdom. Your eyes will be opened and have greater understanding of Jesus Christ.

Follow Jesus – Eternal life

Matthews 19:28-29 and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

Jesus Christ said all those who trust in Me and follow will receive hundredfold blessing and inherit the eternal life. They will be with Jesus Christ in heaven forever. They rule and reign with Jesus Christ forever. What a great privilege and great blessing it is to inherit the eternal life. Everything in this word is temporary and nothing is safe in this world. But those who trust and follow Jesus Christ will be safe in Him and receive heavenly blessings.

Come to Lord Jesus Christ and follow Him. He will be your savior and bless you with His peace. He provides all your needs and protects you in all times. He is God almighty and nothing is impossible unto Him. You will be His disciple and receive eternal life. What a great blessing it is to follow Jesus Christ.

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
