Powerful Word

Genesis 1:3-5

3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

4 And God saw the light that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Creative power in His words

Jesus Christ created the universe out of nothing. He said let there be light and there was light. He separated light and darkness and called the light day and darkness night.

What a mighty power in His words. There is a creative power in His word. When He speaks a word it will come to pass. It will never fail.

Create and uphold

Hebrews 1:3 3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power,

He upholds all the creation by the power of His word. There is a power to create and uphold in His word. Jesus Christ upholds all the things in the universe by the power of His word.

Luke 4:31 31-32 Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths.

32 And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority.

Jesus Christ great God and mighty in works and deeds. There is power and authority in His words. When He speaks it will happen. In the above verse we see the people were astonished at the power and authority of Jesus Christ teaching. Jesus Christ taught them in the synagogue and His words were with authority and great power. People were touched and moved by His words.

His word brings deliverance

Deliverance from demon

Luke 4:33-36 33 now in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice,

34 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him in their midst, it came out of him and did not hurt him.

36 Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.”

There was a man who had an unclean spirit. It is a demon that possesses him and controls him. There is no other way for Him to get deliverance. Jesus Christ, the compassionate and loving God, saw his suffering. He promptly commanded the demon to leave him. Then the demon instantly left him and went away. The man received great deliverance and joy and peace.

There is power and authority in the words of Jesus Christ. Even demons tremble and obey. No power can stand before the power of Jesus Christ word.

Deliverance from sickness

Matthew 8:5-8, 13 5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,

6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”.

7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.

The centurion came to Jesus Christ and pleaded with Him to heal his servant who was paralyzed. Jesus Christ said I will come and heal him. But the centurion said Lord you just only speak a word and my servant will be healed. The centurion knows that there is power in the word of Jesus Christ. He believed and requested to speak a word of healing. Jesus Christ saw his faith. He then released the word of healing and deliverance. The servant was healed instantly.

Psalms 107:20 20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

What a great power it is in the words of Jesus Christ. He sent His word and healed all who are in need of healing. He sends His word and brings healing and deliverance. It is both physical and spiritual healing and deliverance. It is a living word. Just when He speaks and commands it will happen.

Deliverance from death

John 11:43-44 43Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”

44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.

Lazarus died and was in the tomb for four days. His body is stinking and decayed. At such time when there is no hope and all hopes dead. Jesus Christ all powerful God came and stood before the grave and spoke the word said loudly Lazarus come forth. Then instantly Lazarus who was in the grave for four days came forth alive. What a mighty power in the words of Jesus Christ. There is a life and power and authority in the words of Jesus Christ.

When you are in Christ Jesus there is nothing to fear. Jesus Christ at His command will do miracles and wonder and help to all His children.

Come to Jesus Christ and surrender your life to Him and follow His commandments. He will deliver you and bless you with everlasting joy and peace and security.

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
