Luke 24:38-40

38And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?

39Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

40When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

Jesus Christ after resurrection from the dead came to His disciples where they gathered together. When the disciples saw Jesus they thought seeing a spirit and were afraid.

Then Jesus Christ saw the disciples unable to believe and receive. He showed His hands and feet to them and said, “See My hands and feet.” For the spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have. And He said handle me and see. He is showing evidence of His resurrected body having wounds on His body. Jesus invited them to handle Him and see. To dispel their fear and doubt, He invited them to handle Him. By showing His physical body, He reassured His disciples that He was alive. And the marks in His hands and feet are further evidence. This demonstrates that He was indeed the same Jesus. He had been crucified. This is proof of His resurrection show to His disciples after resurrection.

Jesus Christ appeared to them with the resurrected body. He has a body that is resurrected and glorious body. But still Jesus Christ carries the wounds in His hands and feet.

By His stripes we are healed and delivered. Whoever comes to Jesus Christ He will help and redeem them.

1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

He bore our sins on the cross and paid the penalty for us. He died on the cross on our behalf to redeem us. He delivers us from sin, sickness, sorrow, fear, and death.

What a great blessing we have in Jesus Christ. He is carrying the wound in His body still. It is sign of His sacrifice on the cross for entire humanity. It signifies the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ and victory over death. The wounds in His body shows the suffering of Jesus Christ endured for the sins of humanity. The wounds in His body show His sacrifice. They are the price He paid for humanity’s redemption on the cross.

By this we know He is still willing to save the humanity from their sin. He can save whoever comes to Him in faith from sin and its consequences.

He paid the price for you on the cross. He gave His life for you to give eternal life. He died and rose again on third day victoriously to give you eternal life. He is willing to save and redeem you from sin and destruction and from hell fire. Come to Him and believe in Him. No power can save you from sin and it consequences. No power can save you from death and give eternal life. It is Jesus Christ who conquered death can save you from death and give eternal life.

What a great blessing we have in Jesus Christ. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
