Know the Scriptures

JOHN 20:9

For as yet they did not know the Scripture that He must rise again from the dead.

Psalms 16:10 For you will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will you allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

According to the scriptures Jesus Christ must die and rise again on third day. It is written in the scriptures. Also Jesus foretold his death and resurrection multiple times.

Matthews 17:22-23 22Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, 23and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up. 

According to these scriptures it was foretold in scripture and also Jesus Christ when He was alive told the disciples about His sufferings and death and resurrection. Jesus Christ predictions not merely foretelling of things to happen but they were also part of his teaching and demonstrating His understanding of the scriptures and the prophecies about the Messiah, But the disciples could not understand the scriptures and not believed in the scriptures. They lack wisdom.

Matthews 22:29 Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.  

This verse says that misunderstanding or ignorance of the Scriptures and God’s power leads to mistakes and also disbelief.

To understand the scriptures we need the help of Holy Spirit and get wisdom of God.

Read the scriptures and Pray to God and seek the Guidance of Holy Spirit. You can understand the scriptures and walk accordingly. When you search the scriptures you find eternal life. Jesus Christ is the source of life.

John 5:39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 

In the scriptures you find about Jesus Christ and you have eternal life. And Joy. When you diligently study the scriptures and believe in it you get eternal life.

Meditate the scriptures daily and Pray to God.

If you don’t believe now come to Jesus Christ and pray.

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life and peace and restore me completely and bless me. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
