He Burns

2 Peter 2:6

Cities

6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly.

Genesis 19:24-25 24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens.

25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.

Deuteronomy 4:24 24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Lord Jesus Christ God of fire. He is consuming fire and a jealous God. He will not tolerate sin and wicked ways of men on the earth. He watches over all the inhabitants of the earth and condemns the wicked people. He pours out His wrath on the wicked people and burns them with His fury.

He sends fire from above destroys all the wicked nations and the people in it. He is God of justice and in Him no partiality. He rained down burning sulphur on Sodom and Gomorrah from above burn them and all the inhabitants and all vegetation in the land. It has become totally destroyed land forever.

He Burns – Altar

1 Kings 18:36-38 36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.

37 Answer me, Lord; answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.

Lord Jesus Christ is holy fire. He sends His fire on the altar and burn the sacrifice on the altar. He answered the prayer of Elijah. He sent holy fire from above. He accepted the offering on the altar for the Lord. Thus by sending fire on the altar people will know that God of Elijah was true living God. He is prayer answering God and rescues His people from all difficult situations.

He Burns – Purify

Isaiah 6:4-7 4 at the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

Lord Jesus Christ is holy God. All the angels in heaven worship Him always holy holy and holy. No unholy thing can stand before His presence. When Prophet Isaiah was in the presence of God, he cried out. He declared that he was unclean with unclean lips. He confessed he was unworthy.

The angel of the Lord seraphim brought the burning coal with tongs from the altar. It touched the lips of Isaiah. The angel said, “Your guilt is taken away. Your sin is atoned.” What a holy fire it is to clean the unclean lips of Isaiah. It is the holy fire that takes away all unclean things in your life and makes you holy.

It is the touch of God by His fire that makes you holy. It is a burning coal from the altar of God. The angel can’t carry with His hand but brought with a tong. The holy fire purifies and make you clean.

Come to Lord Jesus Christ and accept Him as personal savior in your life. Confess your sins before Him and He will wash you with His blood and make you clean and holy. You will be filled with great joy and peace. What a great blessing in Lord Jesus Christ. In this world you don’t have real peace and joy. Jesus Christ the prince of peace can give you eternal peace.

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
