Jesus Lifts

Psalms 40:1-3

1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.

2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,

And established my steps

3 He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

Jesus Christ the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He looks down and lifts up those who are humble and struggling and helpless and in need.

He is God of Compassion. He wants to help. He lifts up all those who look to Him and seek His help.

He will lift up from pit

In the above verse the psalmist says I was struggling in a horrible pit. I was in miry clay and incapable of coming out by myself. I need the help of God. Without the help of God he can’t come out. Nobody can lift him up from the pit of sin and death.

Only Jesus Christ defeated death and grave. He alone can lift you from the horrible pit of sin. Jesus will make you stand on the rock of Jesus Christ.

In this world many people struggling in the pit of sin and incapable of coming out of themselves. No power can bring them out of the pit. Only Jesus Christ, the Living God and mighty God, can bring you out of the pit. He will make you stand on the rock of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the rock of Salvation. When you stand on the rock of Salvation your life is transformed and you are filled with joy and peace. You sing praises to God always and share testimony of Jesus Christ. He is the hope of our salvation.

He lift up from ash

Psalms 113:6-8 6 who humbles Himself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth?

7 He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap.

8 That He may seat him with princes—with the princes of His people.

Lord Jesus Christ mighty God in Heaven looks down. He lifts up the poor out of dust. He lifts the needy out of ash heap. He will seat him in the higher places with the princes of His people. No one can come to you and lift you up. But Jesus Christ will come to you and lift you up from ash heap.

Ephesians 2:4-6 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

We are once dead in trespasses and sin. But Jesus Christ by His grace made us alive and made us seated in heaven with Christ Jesus. By grace we are saved and seated in heaven. You are not only saved and alive but seated in heaven with Christ Jesus. You will be with Jesus Christ in Heaven forever.

Genesis 41:14, 39, 40 14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.

39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you.

40 You shall be over my house and all my people shall be ruled according to your word;

Joseph was in dungeon in jail. No one was there for him to get deliverance. God almighty from heaven saw Joseph in the dungeon. He was moved with compassion. God lifted him up and brought him before King Pharaoh. Joseph was made the ruler of Egypt. What a great deliverance it is. What a great joy and peace for Joseph received. A person without any hope in this world away from his own parents and brothers in foreign country in dungeon. Such a situation God lifted him from ash heap to the throne of Egypt.

God can elevate you. He can lift you from the pit, dungeon, and ash heap. He can make you sit on the throne.

Come to Jesus Christ who conquered death and destroyed Satan. He can pull you out of pit and give hope and joy. In this world there is no real hope and joy. Only in Jesus Christ we have real hope and joy.

If you are still struggling in the miry clay of sin, seek Him. He can deliver you and make you righteous. He will give His Holy Spirit and help you and give victory over sin and sinful habits.

Come to Him and seek His help and have faith in Him. Hold on to the promises of God. You will see great deliverance.

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
