Greatly Blessed
John 20:24-29
24Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came
25The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.”
So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26And after eight days His disciples were again inside and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!”
27Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Jesus Christ after resurrection from the dead came to His disciples. When all disciples were in one place doors were shut and they with fear and trembling gathered. But suddenly Jesus appeared to them. He entered the room closed. The disciples were amazed to see Jesus Christ and marveled. Jesus Showed His hands and feet and the wounds on them. They saw and believed in Jesus Christ.
At that time another disciple Thomas was not there. When he came after that, the disciples told him they saw Jesus. He did not believe them. He said, “Unless I put my finger into the print of the nails, I will not believe.”
Jesus again appeared to the disciples after eight days. Thomas was also there. Jesus Christ talked to Thomas and showed His wounds on His hands and feet. He said, “Reach your hand here and put it into My side.”
Do not be unbelieving, but believing. Then Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God.
Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
It is a great truth Jesus spoke. Many of us want the evidence and proof to believe. When the Holy Spirit convinces them they obey and believe in Jesus Christ. You are more blessed than those who saw and believe. Those who can believe without physical proof and evidence are more blessed. Trusting something unseen by faith.
True faith is not based on physical evidence but trust on something greater without doubt. Jesus said blessed are those who have not seen and believed. It is easy to believe when you see a miracle but hard to believe when you don’t.
Special blessings come in trusting God without requiring physical proof. Just convinced by Holy Spirit and believing that Jesus Christ crucified and buried and resurrected third day. He is alive forever. Whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.
Hebrews 11:1-3 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
Faith as the assurance of things hoped for and believing in it. Faith allows us to perceive and experience things that are not yet physically visible. Trusting the word of God without doubt and unbelief.
Trust in His promises and you will see blessings. Have faith in Him. He is the author and finisher of our faith.
Come to Jesus Christ and believe in Him and follow Him. You see greater blessings eternally.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
