Sees The Risen Lord
John 20:11-16
11But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.
12And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
13Then they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?”
She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.”
14Now when she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus.
15Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
16Jesus said to her, “Mary!”She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (Which is to say, Teacher).
Jesus Christ after resurrection from the dead first appeared to Mary Magdalene. The disciples came and saw the empty tomb and went away, but Mary Magdalene didn’t leave the place. She was seeking Jesus diligently. She wants to see Jesus. She is weeping and greatly longing to see Jesus. At that time, she stooped down and looked into the tomb. She saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had lain. They said, woman why are you weeping.
Here God noticed her longing towards Jesus. She persistently seeking and searching to find Jesus. She did not leave the place like other disciples. Jesus seeing her heart longing for Him came to her and appeared and talked to her. Jesus instructed her to go and tell other disciples. He had risen from the dead. He was ascending to His father. It is a commission given to Mary Magdalene to spread the good news to other. What a great blessing it is to see the risen Lord. First Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene. What a great privilege it is.
Jeremiah 29:12-13 12Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
God always looks at our heart. How we long for His presence and appearance. If we diligently and wholeheartedly seek Him we will find Him. He will come to us and bless us. He will hear our prayers and answer.
Every day we need to seek His presence. Come to His presence and seek Him and you will find Him. When you are in His presence you find total peace and joy. Nowhere you find such a joy and peace. The Joy and peace that Christ Jesus gives is eternal. It is a growing peace.
So continue to seek Him daily. Receive His blessings. He will reveal to you many mysteries. He longs to talk to you. Do not get distracted by the worldly lust. In this world you find not real peace, but it is temporary. You find real satisfaction and peace in Christ Jesus.
When you find Him, you will get courage, strength and wisdom to spread the good news, the gospel of salvation. Many in this world are dying without knowing the true living God. God almighty always stretch forth His hands to save the humanity. Those who come to Him and seek His help He will do.
