Bribed

Matthew 28:11-15

11Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened.

12When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers

13saying, “Tell them, ‘His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.’ 14And if this comes to the governor’s ears, we will appease him and make you secure.

15So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Jesus Christ as told before He was crucified raised from the dead on third day and appeared to His disciples. There was a great earthquake at that time. The angel of God came down from heaven. He rolled away the big stone and sat on it. Death can not hold Jesus Christ in the grave. It is impossible to hold the living savior to hold in the grave. Jesus Christ defeated death and grave and rose again victoriously on the third day.

The enemy tried many ways to stop Jesus resurrection. It sealed the tomb with big stone and kept many guards to keep the tomb safe. Thinking that His disciples will come and take away the body of Jesus Christ. But Death not hold Jesus Christ. All the plans of the enemy failed and did not stop Jesus resurrection.

Jesus Christ the mighty God. He is life. He said I AM THE WAY and I AM THE TRUTH and I AM THE LIFE.

He is the way and truth and life. Whoever believes in Him will receive eternal life. Death has no power.

John 14:6 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is the only way to heaven and He is the truth and life.

John 11:25-26 25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

26And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Jesus Christ is resurrection and the life. He is power of resurrection and death not hold him in the grave.

The guards guarding the tomb saw Jesus rise from the dead. The angel of God came down, and all the guards fell down like dead men. They went to the chief priests and elders and told the truth that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. So again enemy doesn’t want to spread the truth and wants to suppress the truth. The chief priest and elders bribed the guards. They spread false rumors that Jesus Christ did not rise again.

The enemy’s strategy is to attack God’s plan. They make people believe false reports. This keeps them in false hope and on the wrong path. The enemy will not allow the people to receive and believe the truth and be blessed. Here the enemy used the bribe to make the guards spread false report. Spreading the false report against the truth is truly a sad act. It leads people astray. They ultimately perish.

Exodus 23:1-2 1“You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

2You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice.

In the above it is said not to spread false information. Do not join with wicked men to be a malicious witness. God’s people are not to accept bribes and spread lies. They should not follow the popular opinion when that view is unjust and untruth. Stand for truth and follow the truth in the Bible.

Always truth will stand and sustain. Never spread false report and wrong things to divert from the truth.

Believe in the truth and follow in it. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died buried and rose again third day. Those who believe in Jesus Christ will never perish but have everlasting life.

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
