Together Work

John 21:8

8But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish.

Jesus Christ came to His disciples after His resurrection. The disciples were on the sea fishing in the boat. But they could not catch a single fish all the night. Jesus came and stood at the shore. He talked to the disciples and said, “Cast your net on the right side.” Instantly the disciples obeyed and cast their net on the right side and catch a large number of fish. The net was full and heavy and difficult to pull. So the other disciples came in to help. Together they dragged the heavy net full of fish to the shore.

It is a collective work. Doing work according to the commandments of Jesus Christ and moving and doing collectively. Many times we need help of the other believers in Christ. We our self can’t carry the burden in the work. It is together do the work of the Lord. That is together pray and together supports each other and continue in the Lords work.

We need the support of other believers. It is always important to work together. Helping each other in time of trouble and burdens.

We are partners with God in His work. Together work is important.

2 Corinthians 6:1 1We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

The verse speaks of working together with God.

Colossians 3:12-13 12Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

In the above verse, we see the importance of love and forgiveness. These virtues bind believers together. They allow them to move together in the work of the Lord.

Ephesians 4:32 32And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Encourage one another with kindness and love and forgiveness. It is with unity in spirit together do the work of the Lord. We need to be in good harmony and peace with one another.

Ephesians 6:18-19 18praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

19and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.

We need to pray together. We should pray for other believers. This will uplift them in prayers to strengthen them and give them courage in the work of the Lord. It also offers protection for the believers.

Apostle Paul requests the believers to pray for him. He asks for utterance and boldness to speak. He wants to make known the mystery of the gospel.

Working together is essential in doing the work of the Lord. We need to encourage each other and forgive each other. Pray always in the spirit and be watchful. Look to needs of other believers and strengthen them in prayer and help in need.

Then we will receive reward from the Lord. The eternal reward. What a great blessing it is to work together and upholding each other in prayer and strengthened.

Pray to Jesus Christ

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
