Earthquake
Matthew 28:1-4
1Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
2And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it.
3His countenance was like lightning and his clothing as white as snow.
4And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
Great miracle happened when Jesus Christ rose from the dead on third day. A great earthquake happened. A mighty angel came from heaven and rolled the stone away. The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men.
Such a mighty power demonstrated at the time of resurrection. No power stopped Jesus Christ. Death could not hold Him in the grave. Jesus defeated grave and death and rose on third day victoriously. It is a supernatural event. Power of God above all powers and principalities.
Earthquake symbolizes the power of God. Defeated Satan and his power. Jesus defeated the power of death. The power of resurrection is greater than the power of death.
Hebrews 2:14-15 14 In as much then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
15and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Jesus defeated Satan who had the power of death. He releases those who were all their lifetime prone to bondage because of their fear of death. No fear of death. Jesus Conquered death and defeated the Satan forever. All those who are in fear of death will be delivered in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 55“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
56The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Give thanks to God always for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. No more fear. Victory in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Come to Jesus Christ and pray. Surrender to Him. Do not fear. We have victory in Jesus Christ.
Psalm 122:6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
Pray to Jesus Christ
PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
