Testimony
Luke 24:47-48
47and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And you are witnesses of these things.
Jesus Christ after resurrection from dead came to His disciples and talking to them. Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations. And you are witnesses of these things.
The disciples were with Jesus Christ during His three and a half years of ministry on Earth. They saw everything Jesus did. Also they were witnesses to Jesus sufferings on the cross and death and burial and resurrection. They saw with their own eyes what has happened.
John 21:24 24This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true.
The disciple John in the book of John says that he testifies of these things and wrote these things. We know that His testimony is true. He witnesses about Jesus Christ and His works.
John 19:35 35And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.
In the above verse the John himself who was there at the crucifixion and witness the events described. It is the John the disciple of Jesus Christ witness is true. Testimony of Jesus Death and resurrection is truthful and meant to lead to belief.
The purpose of John’s testimony is to strengthen the faith of those who read the gospel. They should believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as a true savior. He died for all and rose again to save all from eternal destruction.
Acts 5:30-32 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
32And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
Peter emphasizes in the above verse that we are witnesses to these things about Jesus Christ. We also preach about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gives forgiveness of sins and salvation.
The apostles were witnessing to the events happened about Jesus Christ life and death and resurrection and about His teachings.
It is a great blessing to be a witness for Christ. Having experience the forgiveness of Sins and receiving the salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Sharing the testimony about Jesus Christ and His work on the cross for entire humanity is great work. It is given to His disciples to spread the gospel and be a witness at all times.
Come to Jesus Christ and believe on Him and be a witness to Christ Jesus. Get a reward from God.

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
