Love God
John 21:15-17
15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”
He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”
16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?”
He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”
He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”
17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”
And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.
Jesus Christ after resurrection from dead appeared to His disciples and talked to them and provides food to eat and showed compassion on them and loved them. It is the everlasting love of Jesus Christ towards His disciples who take care of them and meet their needs. Also strengthen them encourage them in Him.
In the above verse it is a conversation between Jesus and Simon Peter. Jesus asked peter DO YOU LOVE ME MORE THAN THESE. And peter answered and said yes Lord I love you. Like this Jesus asked peter three times and peter answered I love you Jesus. It is Jesus restoring peter after three times he denied Jesus. But Jesus forgave peter and gave him commission to feed His lambs
You must have genuine Love and devotion towards Jesus. It is not any comparison
Jesus ask peter DO YOU LOVE ME AND SAID FEED MY FLOCK
Must have genuine love and feed my sheep is the responsibility of believers to care for and guide others.
When you love Him you will serve Him. There is a connection between love and service. True love for Christ should be shown through acts of service, and guidance for others.
Love the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him.
Pray to Jesus Christ.
PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life and restore me completely and bless me. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
