Worship Him

Matthews 28:9

And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

Jesus Christ after resurrection from dead appeared to them greeted them saying Rejoice and they embraced His feet and worshiped Him. What a great blessing it is to worship resurrected Jesus Christ. He gave His life for us suffered on the cross died buried and rose again. He gave His life for us to live with Him. What a great sacrifice. Here we find great sacrifice of Jesus Christ and He is worthy of our worship. Acknowledge him as our savior and redeemer honor Him by worshiping and loving him. Jesus Christ met them and they worshiped Him with the greatest reverence, prostrated themselves before him, and embraced his feet, thus manifesting as well the affection they had to Him… Jesus said rejoice for I have overcome the death. It is the will of Christ that his people should be a cheerful, joyful people, and his resurrection gives abundant matter for joy. In Christ Jesus we have true victory. Victory over sin and death.

Jesus encounters them suddenly when they were returning from the empty tomb. Jesus greeted them expressing joy and assurance.

They held him by the feet:

They prostrate at His feet, in reverence and humility; and they laid hold on His feet, and they held him in affection to him, and as desirous of His continuance with them:

They worshiped him:

With divine adoration, expressing their love to him; their faith and hope in him, and accepting Him to be their Lord and God; and He is worthy of worship. Worship draws a believer closer to God. We must worship Him always with true love and reverence. Let us be thankful and worship God acceptably with reverence.

John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

It is the will of God to worship Him. When you worship Him from the heart not just by lips. Having a genuine and heartfelt connection with God. When you are connected to God you are blessed. By worshiping Him you acknowledge His as your savior and God.

Joy and assurance we find in Jesus Christ.

What a great blessing we have in Jesus Christ. Come and worship Him. Accept Him and true savior of your life.

Pray to Jesus. 

PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life and peace and restore me completely and bless me. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
