Do not be troubled
LUKE 24:36-39
36 Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” 37But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.
Jesus Christ after resurrection from dead appeared to His disciples. The disciples were all in one place in closed room. But Jesus Christ with the resurrection body could enter into the room when the doors were closed. But when the disciples saw Jesus they were very much terrified and frightened. But Jesus spoke to them saying do not be troubled.
Why are you troubled and why do doubts arise in your hearts.
These questions demonstrate his concern and awareness of their emotional state.
Two questions from Jesus Christ posed His disciples after resurrection. The disciples are experiencing fear and disbelief. They are struggling to understand the situation. Jesus showed Himself to the disciples His nail pierced hands and feet and said come and handle Me and see me. I am the resurrected Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is appearing to them to reassure them, provide evidence of his physical presence, and strengthen their faith and said believe in Me. It is Jesus Christ presence that Lift burden of fear and doubt and transforms us into joy. We need the presence of Jesus Christ always. We must spend time with Him always.
Many times doubts will arise because lack of faith in the words of Jesus Christ. When doubts occur then fear enters.
John 11:40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?
If you do not believe in Him you cannot see the glory of God. Just have faith in Him. Jesus Christ words emphasize the importance of faith in witnessing God’s glory. Do not look to your circumstances. But believe in His almighty power. The power of Resurrection. Then you will the power of God visible.
Whatever situation you may be facing now. But do not get troubled. Just believe in Him and invite Him. When He comes your entire burden will be lifted.
Come to Jesus and pray
Pray to Jesus Christ.
PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life and peace and restore me completely and bless me. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
