Help from Above
Mark 16:1-5
1 Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him. 2Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3And they said among themselves, “Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?” 4But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away—for it was very large. 5And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.
On the first day of the week early in the morning Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices to anoint the body of Jesus Christ thinking the body of Jesus will be in the tomb third day. Also they were talking about who will help us to roll away huge stone to enter the tomb. Thinking tomb will be sealed on third day. But they don’t know the scriptures that Jesus Christ will raise from the dead on third day and thereby the stone will be removed. When they reached the tomb find the big stone rolled away and inside the tomb could not find Jesus body. Instead they could an angel of God sitting on the right side of the place where Jesus body laid. Their determination for Jesus is a testament to their faithfulness and love for Jesus Christ. They did not forget Jesus Christ. It shows their Love towards Jesus Christ.
They were thinking
- Who will roll away the stone for us?
- They saw the stone rolled away.
- They saw an angel of God sitting.
They discussed how to roll away the large stone blocking the tomb entrance, as it was a difficult task for them to do. But they don’t know it removed. On arriving at the tomb, they found the stone already rolled away. It is divine activity. Help from above an angel of God came from heaven and rolled away huge stone.
What a great miracle it is to see. Jesus Christ rose from the dead on third day and his body was not found in the tomb as they were thinking and huge stone rolled away to go inside and see that the tomb was empty and witness to others. The discovery of the empty tomb by women who went to anoint Jesus body after the Sabbath. They found the tomb open, with an angel present, and were struck by fear and amazement.
You may be thinking in your life that who will help me and big hurdle facing in your life and how to cross over. But when you trust in Jesus Christ and faithful towards Him who overcome death can send help give peace.
Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Receive divine help from above to move forward in your life.
Pray to Jesus Christ.
PRAYER:
Loving heavenly Father, I come before You just as I am. Please forgive me for all my sins and cleanse me with the precious blood of Jesus. Redeem my life from destruction and crown me with Your mercy. Fill my heart with Your love and truth. Thank you Lord for forgiving me and accepting me and giving me eternal life and peace and restore me completely and bless me. Fill me with the power of resurrection. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
