LOVING CARE OF JESUS
John 21:1-3
After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself. 2 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”
They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
Jesus appeared to His disciples after resurrection from dead and strengthened them. Some of His disciples, including Peter, went back to their previous occupation of fishing. But Jesus knowing this appeared to them and draws them near to him. Here we find Jesus Loving care.
By the way, no matter where you run, the Lord will find you. His loving care will restore you.
The disciples fruitless night of fishing, could not catch a single fish. The fact that even with their expertise, they cannot succeed without God’s guidance and power.
John 20:4-5 But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.”
John 20:9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must raise again from the dead.
Here Jesus called them as children. It is loving care of Jesus. Jesus, who they initially don’t recognize, asks them about their food supply. The disciples honestly admit they have no food.
Jesus care for His disciples and their basic needs, even in a post-resurrection. It also foreshadows the provision of food that Jesus will soon arrange. In the loving care of our heavenly father will supply all our needs. What a great blessing in Jesus.
John 20:6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
In Jesus we find
Loving care and supply of our needs and Miracles doing and restoring relationship with Jesus.
Do you want such a blessing come now to Jesus and pray to Him.
Believe in Jesus Christ. Do not lose hope. Pray to Him.
