Resurrection Peace

Eternal Peace

John 20:19

Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

Jesus’s first appearance to his disciples after his resurrection.  Jesus after resurrection appeared to His disciples and showed to them that He is alive and rose from dead. And as a resurrected Christ Jesus said PEACE be with you all.  a greeting meant to offer comfort and assurance to the disciples who were fearful and in shock. The verse highlights Jesus’s presence and ability to be with his disciples, even in times of fear and uncertainty, and the message of peace he brings. What a great blessing in Christ Jesus All the disciples were in fear and anguish and in that situation, Jesus appeared and said peace to you all.

In this dark world where we live there is much uncertainty and distress and fear and no hope so we need Jesus Christ for Peace that the world cannot give. Jesus said in

John 14: 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

This verse says Jesus’ gift of peace, which is different from the temporary worldly peace, urging believers to find comfort and strength in His presence, even amidst life’s challenges. Jesus is offering a lasting and personal peace, a gift that transcends the usual worldly understanding of peace. The world’s peace is often temporary and based on external circumstances, while Jesus’ peace is rooted in His relationship with His followers and offers a deeper, more enduring sense of tranquillity.

Trust in Jesus’ words and to not allow anxieties and fears to control your emotions or actions. The verse encourages you to remain steadfast in faith in Jesus Christ, even when facing difficult times.

Jesus command to “let not your hearts be troubled.” But when it comes to our everyday burdens and the danger that lurks in this world, we can choose to let not our hearts be trouble and have faith in JESUS CHRIST. Receive gift of peace.

If you are facing hardships in your life and having no peace, come to Jesus Christ and accept Him as your God.
