Eternal Life

John 10:17-18: ¹⁷ “… I lay down My life that I may take it again. ¹⁸ No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. 

He voluntarily lays down His life, only to take it up again. He emphasizes that He has the authority to both lay it down and take it up. He has absolute authority over life and death. His life wasn’t taken from him; he laid it down willingly to die for our sins. He died with power and authority

This verse emphasizes Jesus’s role as the good shepherd and the promise of eternal life for those who believe in him.

Jesus the resurrection and Life has laid down His life to give us eternal life. He came into this world to give His life for us. To save us from eternal destruction. Death could not hold Jesus in grave speaks to the omnipotence of God and the Sinlessness of Christ, making His resurrection cornerstone of our faith.

The Bible says in Acts 2:24. ….” for death could not keep Him in its grip”.

Jesus said in John 10:28. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

It also means that because of our union with Christ Jesus, death cannot hold us captive. Jesus could save you from

1. Eternal death
2. Hell
3. Eternal destruction

 In whatever situation you may be now, if you are in Christ Jesus no one could harm you and destroy. You will be protected from all evil attacks. By Jesus’ loving and caring ways, by His power to meet all your need, you will be under the care of Jesus who lives forever. All your needs will be provided by His mighty power.

If you want eternal life and gift of Salvation that is freely given by Jesus. Come to Him now.

COME TO JESUS AND SAY THIS PRAYER.  LORD JESUS I AM A SINNER AND I ACCEPT THAT YOU DIED ON THE CROSS FOR ME AND BURIED AND ROSE AGAIN THIRD DAY. LORD JESUS SAVE ME FORGIVE ME AND GIVE ME ETERNAL LIFE. I INVITE YOU INTO MY HEART AND LIFE TO BE MY LORD AND SAVIOR. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR FORGIVING ME AND ACCEPTING ME AND GIVING ETERNAL LIFE. AMEN
